In July ’21, my MA dissertation was published on the University of Leeds’ website as a piece of exemplary work.
In September ’21, I got published in the second issue of Lost in Cult’s gaming magazine, [Lock on]. I wrote about being bad at video games and how Disco Elysium celebrates it.
In May ‘22, I designed the first draft of Lunar Echoes, the official tabletop roleplaying game adaptation of Becky Chambers’ A Psalm for the Wild-Built.
In December ’22, I got shortlisted for a PhD scholarship researching the effects of shared play on community cohesion, though I had to withdraw my application for financial reasons (if anyone wants to sponsor my PhD, get in touch!).
In October ’23, I gave a talk at Magazine Street about sustainably building a publishing audience by embracing an old-school internet.
In December ’23, I got offered a role as Organiser at the Games Workers branch of the International Workers Union, Great Britain.
I’ve been to see Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers screened with a live orchestra. Sublime!
